I recently attended a car show and caught the H-Body Bug again. My first car was a 79 Monza and I knew I had to have one again. I kept an eye on E-Bay for several weeks and found my new ride in South Carolina. A buddy and I went down and rented a U-Haul car dolly to haul it back the 1000 miles to Ontario. Well worth the trip as the car is 99.9% rust free. It needed a bit of mechanical work due to the punishment it has received in the past and the work is progressing. Monza originally had a 3.2 liter with automatic but someone has saved me the work of converting it to V8. Engine is currently a 305 with a 4 speed saginaw transmission and the stock single-track rear end. The car will be getting a 355 and a Muncie as soon as I stiffen the chassis. For an added extra bonus, the car came with comfort tilt steering and Air Conditioning! It isn't an original V8 Spyder but it will look like one when it is completed and thats all that matters to me. :)
